Starting a new school year


We have been back in school for one week now, and the excitement is still in the air! Everything is new and different. Students and teachers are getting to know each other. New habits are being developed.

What are the habits you want to build into your schedule? Will you work on being organized? Keeping your locker, book bag and room clean and orderly? Will you make a plan to get homework finished by a certain time each day? What about getting to bed at the right time so you are well-rested each day, or turning off electronics an hour before bedtime so you can unwind before sleep?

There are so many ways we can improve ourselves that will help us have a better school year. Why not try to eat more fruits and vegetables and less processed, packaged food? Spend at least 20 minutes each day doing some type of physical activity. Another possibility would be to improve your attitude by looking for something to be grateful for every day.

Improving your physical and mental health will help to make you a better student. As we move through this school year I will try to give tips on how to live your best life, so check back here each month for more!
